So the interview yesterday didn't go too badly. I managed to distract the interviewer :) She was asking which books I have been reading lately and I said that I had recently got into Jane Austen and been reading Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park and Pride and Prejudice, at which point she says that there is only one Mr Darcy and that is Colin Firth. She then rambled on for a while about the series being better than the film and Colin being a much better Mr Darcy, I said my friend Claire agrees, and then she went on to say how she liked Emma etc... After a while she turns to me, seems to remember that she was giving an interview and apologised for losing track and sat for a couple of minutes trying to figure out what to ask me.

I think the interview went well, just have to play the waiting game now. She'll let me know if they have a suitable position for me before next Friday.

Overall it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.

I have an interview tomorrow for a graduate clerk position at Stephensons. Stephensons is one of the top 10 firms in the north west with an excellent reputation for training and also for internal promotion. I am therefore very nervous. I have researched the firm and prepared a few answers to obvious questions like 'Why do you want to work for us?' but still feel unprepared and again nervous...

I don't even know how I managed to get an interview. I e-mailed them asking for work experience and got an e-mail back informing me that the vacation scheme was full but would I like to apply for this position. So I forwarded my CV and cover letter and waited. Next day I got invited to an interview which is to be held tomorrow.

I skipped the pub quiz last night so I could read up on stuff like solicitors accounts and so that I wouldn't be too tired today to do stuff, maybe I should've gone and distracted myself for a while. Am definately going to heroes night tonight though.

Better get back to preparing myself for tomorrow

Just read LJ and found out that Ella has been put down. I know I haven't seen her for a while but I have always missed her since moving back home. I'll never forget that first night when she wandered in from the cold and Kian agreed we could keep her, or when she use to 'flyattack' my bedroom door if I ever shut it so I would let her in. She was the most loving cat that I have known and she will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace Ella...

Ok so my roots need doing. Phoned up the hairdressers and made an appointment for tomorrow. Just to make sure I have ebough cash on me I check how much it is. Apparantly £20 for the root touch up....but in total will come to £50 because blow drying my hair amounts to "styling". I am NOT paying £50 when I am not even having it cut. It cost less when they put it up for my graduation ball and that took them 4 hours to do! Considering my roots need doing every 4 to 5 weeks I think I am going to go back to dying it at home.

Just sat my last exam today. All I have to do now is sit around and wait for the results, oh and find a job :) I am sooooo looking forward to reviving my social life.

I have realised that i seem to have dropped of the face of the earth lately and lost touch with a lot of people. Still have no internet access at home and so can only get online in school when every spare moment is spent updating and getting work done.

Life is good and a lot of things have taken a turn for the better. Unfortunatley my mum isn't too well at the moment, but the good news is that she has an appointment with the specialist next wednesday and so far seems to be doing ok on the cocktail of drugs they have her on. Not sure if she'll fully recover but she's doing well and seems to be enjoying everyone else having to do most of the work far to much :)

Hopefully should see people over christmas.

But for now how is everyone??

I have realised that I really do need to get internet access and quickly.

I have recently moved back home with my parents, not the best place in the world but it means that I can afford to do my Legal Practice Course. Unfortunately this means that I have had to leave my lovely housemate who I have been living with for over a year and a half, leave behind my gorgeous cat ella who I really miss, and losing lots of my independance. The course is going great, I'm getting good response from tutors about my work and although the workload is immense I am managing to keep on top of it and hopefully should have some time to socialise soon.

In other news the company I work for has just been bought out.. may be time to go job hunting.

Hopefully will be online soon so can catch up with people.

Hope that everyone is ok and look forward to seeing people again at some point *hugs*

I am now a student again :) I have successfully applied for a Legal Practice Course and start on the 4th Sept!!

I can see the kitchen again :) Washing up has been done, microwave cleaned, oven wiped over, pots put away, and floor swept. I can't believe how quickly our kitchen can spiral into chaos. I think its time we got the rota drawn up then it doesn't get like that again lol

Also have cleaned up after one ill kitty.. carpet still needs vaxing but have managed to get most of the stain up and it no longer smells. Looks like we are going to have to ensure that the kitchen door is kept shut at all times to stop Ella getting anything she shouldn't. Litter has been changed and the house is reasonably decent apart from the dining room table.

Anyway I think it is time I get some sleep before I fall over so good night all.

P.S. For those interested Empress Orchid by Anchee Min is a very good read and I am just about to start on The Historian :)

Today has been good. I got up spent a few hours cleaning the house, a thing I have been wanting to do for a while but due to working silly hours haven't had the opportunity or energy to do. Have washed up, cleaned cat litter, hoovered, generally tidied and unfortunately left the dining room table full of stuff that needs to be sorted.

After the morning clean I went into Manchester and had fun with Harper, MP and Tessa. Then went to pick up a bike that my brother is giving to me. Since the move it is taking far too long for me to walk to work (about 50 mins) so I decided a bike would speed things up. I didn't know how unfit I am. Had to cycle the said bike from my parents to the new house. This took 35 minutes, it felt like longer. I need to get back into this whole cycling thing.....

oo and bought myself some new books to read :)

If anyone was to ask me how I felt at the moment my answer would be 'meh'. Yes I am moving house, how do I feel about this? Worried, stressed, but most of all just meh. It feels as though I am just being dragged along by a river, I try to get into it, discuss plans with my friend but then something will happen to make me feel apprehensive about the whole thing and this will soon enough turn back to 'meh'.

Currently any time spent in the house is spent walking on eggshells, I feel like I am living with my little sister again and that is a place where i don't want to be. Maybe once the move is over things will settle and be fine.. I hope so. Maybe this is just me being stupid. At this moment in time I don't know...

Today while I was at work a recruiter pimp from the job fairs I attended last week phoned the house. Cat took the womans name and number for me and I shall ring back tomorrow.

Here's hoping they have something for me.. if not at least I am getting some responses back :)

Today I have been scarily motivated. I have tidied the *entire* house bar Pteppic's rooms, done all of my washing, washed and changed bedding, and made cups of tea. This has left me feeling very happy with myself.

Now I just need to shower, iron a shirt for tomorrow and then bed :)

My feet hurt, my legs ache and I am knackered, but i am happy..

Nickelback live *rock*, Bon Jovi are just too good for words.
Went to the concert last night at the Manchester arena, jumped around, squeed, bounced, sang along, and jumped around some more :)

It was fantastic.. enough said
Maybe one other little thing, Bon Jovi singing Lulu's Shout is surreal *g*

Tonight i helped a friend who I haven't seen for ages with some uni work. As usual she left it until the last minute and for some reason I get the panic attacks as well. It has all sorted itself out now though, some final touches tomorrow and it will be done.

Seeing her has reminded me how I have lost touch with people, I need to make an effort to stay in contact with people. I also need to get my life back on track and get my arse into gear over a few things.

Tomorrow is another day and I will make use of it :)

Last night kian and myself dyed our hairs. Well I dyed his and my sister did mine. One bottle of wine and several hours later Kian turned blonde and I am slightly lighter reddy colour then I was before, I think to make any real diference to my hair I am going to have to look into prelighteners.

Kian was originally going to go silver. After much effort first untangling his bleached hair and then applying lots of dye, leaving 30 mins and then rinsing off i found myself going WTF. All of the dye had rinsed out leaving not a hint of grey or silver on his head :(

We plan to attempt turning him silver again next week...

The next time I start ranting about my sister can somebody remind me of this post please. She is at times a little star. Take today for example... she knew how stressed i was getting at the state if the house and took it upon herself to tidy, clean and generally make the house liveable.

Last week saw many ups and downs.

I am now officially single again, and i have realised that I am happy with this. The relationship wasn't working and although both parties were hurt in the split it is for the best. I won't pretend that at first I didn't feel down, but good friends picked me up, dusted me down and generally made me feel good about being me.

I did it.. I gave up chocolate for lent and managed to succeed :)

I am now sat here with a smug grin on my face, chocolate in my belly and an Ella by my side. I wonder how long it will take for me to be sick of the sight of choccy?

On another note I'm getting worried about Ella our cat. She's acting out of character and looks to have lost weight. She also has been off her food for the past couple of days :( Hopefully it'll be nothing but I will be keeping a close eye on her for a while.

Have just spent a very enjoyable night at Pol's and Supermouse's house. We watched Dr Who, then some H2G2 before playing a few rounds of Fluxx. Tenant will make a good Dr but he's no Ecclestone.. his character just doesn't have the intensity or manic personality. We shall see what happens in later episodes and i will keep my mind open and give him a chance. Tonights episode was hilarious though and much fun, Tenant can definitely camp it up :)

Suppose I better go to bed at some point.
